Have you experienced any unique challenges since having come to work for the family business?
I absolutely love what I do so it has been a challenge to turn off the passion for work at home, especially when I am around my husband and brothers-in-law because now I can be a part of the conversation! Plus, at home is when I have their attention the most so it feels natural to capture their ideas at that moment – but we all need a little mental break to recharge and come back to do it all over again the next day!
You have worked in a few different service-related businesses over the years. Does anything about Diaz Group stand out compared to the others?
Hands down the culture! You WANT to be at work and may even feel a little FOMO (fear of missing out) when I am not at the office. It’s a great place to be. The atmosphere, the people, the laughs, we definitely have a great time together.
What is your proudest accomplishment in life – work or non-work-related?
Family is definitely on top but I must say whatever I have done in my career(s), I always put my best foot forward and like to stand back and see the accomplishment of hard work. When I am passionate about something I get completely immersed! In any part of my training/development career, there is nothing like seeing the look on someone’s face when things just click. When that inner light bulb turns on and the power it gives people!
